Worton Hall Industrial Estate
From 1914-1951, the Worton Hall Industrial Estate was Isleworth Studios, part of Shepperton Studios. In its day, Worton Hall Studios were involved in making films like The African Queen and movie stars such as, Douglas Fairbanks Jnr, Sir Richard Burton and Alistair Sim all worked at the Studios - even Sherlock Holmes started his film career there! Now the Estate is home to a variety of hard-working small-to-medium sized companies - many of whom are still involved in some way in the entertainment and arts fields.
Where does the parking money go?
Although Worton Hall Industrial Estate is privately owned, some of the revenue raised from parking contributes to the maintenance of the Estate for the benefit of all those who work there. With an old infrastructure inherited from the days of the Studios, maintaining the Estate and putting it back on the community map as a good place for people to work is our aim.
